Matthew Vincenzino – Staff Profile

Meet Matthew Vincenzino – Creative Designer (Verity)

I began freelancing back in 2010 as a web and graphic designer, after which I was able to get some agency experience at Hybrid Advertising and Marketing with some contract work. Following on from this, I was appointed as the Multimedia Officer for Hon Mark Butler MP (Federal Labor Party), creating all the visual content for his campaigns. In late 2015, I made the switch back into the agency lifestyle first with The Digital Embassy and Digital Noir. In April 2018, I made the transition to Verity, where I hope to help foster the company and enhance its reputation.

Tell us in a  few words about yourself.

I would like to think of myself as a talented creative designer with a strong background in UX and UI design and high-level design strategy. Since I can remember I have always been fascinated with technology and design (I was one of those kids always sat behind a computer screen). So for me, it was a natural progression to find a job that allowed me to utilise my passion.

What is your role at Verity?

While my job title is a Creative Designer, my responsibilities and roles go further than that. I am involved with creating UI and UX designs for all our website and app projects, branding and identity designs, helping with development of sites, as well as in depth testing. I am also intrusted with ongoing project management responsibilities, business development and project proposals.

What do you do in your spare time?

My main hobbies outside of work would have to be going to the gym – for me it’s a major stress relief.  In my spare time I like to play with my two Samoyeds and either catch up with friends or just sit back and listen to my music (2pac and Andrea Bocelli mostly).

Why did you choose Axios?

I have never been interviewed by people wearing shorts before and I thought that was pretty cool.

What do you like most about Verity?

When looking for a new company to work for, I look at two main things – do they allow and trust you to do your work without micromanagement and what is the office culture like? During the first catch up with a few of the staff I could tell that the culture and work ethic was what I was looking for. Furthermore, I am always looking to help and grow the stature of a business, and I felt Verity had a great foundation to work with.

What is your favourite quote?

What is your biggest Achievement?

Having designed and built my dream house (well close to my dream house).
